  • Rampage thinking of pro boxing

“I hate fighting people who are scared. When you fight somebody who is scared you never know what they’re going to do. They turn and run, that’s why I’m gonna go to boxing. I’m gonna try boxing because they’ve got to stand with you. If I get knocked out I don’t care because at least it’s a fight. I’ve tried a lot of boxing, I’m falling in love with boxing and I know I can put butts in seats over there.”

There ya have it… Former UFC light-heavyweight champion just told ESPN that he would rather pursue a career in the sweet science of professional boxing over his MMA career.

While current contracts will prevent him from making an attempt in the striking only discipline professionally if Rampage has his way we may see him in the ring after his UFC days are done.
Oh man...here goes another one. I don't understand why these guys feel like they have to threaten to go to boxing. Rampage will get eaten alive in boxing. I mean, sure if one of those guys were dumb enough to stand in front of him and just throw recklessly, then yeah, he might get a KO. But those guys will just sit back and pick him apart and make him look stupid. I don't understand it....Maybe he can fight Kimbo if Kimbo wins...

It does have to be tough for the UFC guys to watch stuff like the Mayweather shenanigans where he gets 50 million for a sketchy fight. Esp when p4p the UFC guys would destroy boxers in a fight most often. Rampage would make a really good kick boxer I think.

Yeah, but if Rampage thinks he can go to boxing and make half what Mayweather is making, he is crazy! Mayweather is making that kind of money for a reason. But I am sure that money is the biggest factor. He needs to keep an eye on Kimbo's career and watch what happens to him going to boxing....he probably won't like the outcome.
