  • Tito takes spot against Rashad

by MMAjunkie.com Staff on Jul 13, 2011 at 7:20 pm ET
Tito Ortiz (16-8-1 MMA, 15-8-1 UFC) has found the will to save the day.

Just hours after telling MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com) that he wasn't going to fight Rashad Evans (15-1-1 MMA, 10-1-1 UFC) in the interest of making the best career choice, it appears the best career choice is to do it anyway.

UFC president Dana White today confirmed via Twitter that Ortiz and Evans will meet in the headliner of UFC 133, which takes place Aug. 6 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
Well, after turning it down, it looks like Tito decided to take the fight after all. I tell you what....I hope Tito beats the crap out of Rashad. I know that's a long shot, but I am pulling for Tito in this one.

Since he turned it down the first time, I wonder what they offered him that made him change his mind? He is already making a crap load of money. Title shot maybe?
