Another Boring GSP fight

If you went on who's face was more beat up Jake wins but another boring fight from GSP who cant ko anyone and who imo cant finish anyone anymore. If jake was a little more quicker and not so stiff he could of won but hats off to jake for giving GSP a good fight.Now thats how you fight GSP,jake was smart but his camp sucked. did you hear jake ask should I take gaurd yet ans they said no ,are you friggin serious ofcourse you do it bad coaching on jakes side but jake did what others couldnt and that as bring a good fight to GSp who didnt look all that good against jake. My hates off to jake for almost winning that fight but needs to be faster and have a better coaching

Oh shlt, here we go. For 2 years, all we heard about was how Chuck Liddell is still a great fighter. He just got "caught' with a bad punch....... 7 times in a row.
Now, we're gonna have to hear how Shields is the dominant fighter, and his corner sucked, and he messed up GSP's face...... But GSP still won. Shields was very little threat against GSP. He landed a few good punches, but GSP dominated both on his feet and on the ground. The 48-47 decisions were laughable.

hahaha! GSP owned him. he got got caught but if you walk into range of your punches he can strike you too.

he fought a smart fight for a 1 eyed fighter. it was a greg jackson game plan. very conservative.

GSP is by far the better fighter

Shields should have turned it into a brawl, then pulled guard. He did better than most thought he would striker, but he left a lot out there.

round 3 i was like, hmmm, george's game plan is too throw 100 or more looping right hands, which totally flumoxed me, i felt gsp could have taken him down a few times

imho, jake was flummozed by all those looping rights he had zero response to them, made no adjustments, hats off to gsp for seeing the weakness

when george said he fought one eyed, well, it answered alot of questions, and makes 100%, with only one eye he had to protect it at all costs, which meant distance and looping rights

i liked the fight and right in the middle of it i had an aha moments, fuzo does not like anyone or anything that is not 100% aggresive all the time, politicians, fighters, people, dogs and little old ladies

I cant help it if you cant see the facts on chuck,over aggresive wants the ko so bad that left him always open he over reaches lets his gaurd down.If you cant understand how Fighting is done then stay out of it.True Champion Fighters come to fight not to win on points and be safe,Silva fights and Ko's and would eat GSP alive. Your way off on GSP dominated on the ground you must of been watching a different fight. Gsp took him down twice and laid on him in the last 10 seconds of the round. Like I said Jake was to stiff and not quick enough but he was the aggresor and busted up Gsp face or was that a invisible guy doing that between rounds.Oh Remember who owns the board Aom with your Comments I deleted in your other post dont do that again

Excuses from Geg Jackson.So when other fighters have been busted up they keep coming at ther oppnt and still kick ass. Greg also said Gsp wanted to knock out Jake and greg said they wanted him to stop doing those over right hand punches but he contunued so did gsp not listen to his camps instructions. And at the end when asked why gsp doesnt finish fights by ko like silva or submissions he calls people ignorant and doesnt know the nature of fighting. Since when was it stated that great fighters KO people???? If I remember correctly Anderson was on a "boring" streak for a while there too. I dont feel like going back to dig up old threads but if I remember correctly; BJ lost to GSP because GSP was to slippery, BJ lost to Frankie twice cause he just wasnt himself and the judges screwed him just like they did against Fitch, Liddel is the greatest and only lost cause he dropped his hands to low etc... yet having a serious eye injury midway through a fight and still winning against a guy who hasnt lost in over 6 years and is on a 15 fight win streak is an excuse? I guess Im not smart enough to see the logic, I must have the same eye injury as GSP. I like GSP but that doesnt mean I think he is the greatest of all time or P4P king or anything, and yea Im sure Silva would win. I dont think GSP really cares about Silva to be honest, he says he just wants to be the best that he can be, its the fans that keep hyping this super fight.

of course if you are taking that approach you will end up getting beat .

you as a kickboxer know this. sure it makes for an exiting fight but you have to be cautious.

also its the challengers duty to take it from the champ. jake should have been more aggresive..................hmmmmmm

I disagree with that quote 110%. If you're talking about a street fight, then I agree. If you're talking about professional fighting where a guy is supporting his family by collecting huge paychecks, then that statement is way off base. Great fighters only KO people in Boxing. We're not talking about Boxing here. To understand MMA, you have to understand martial arts. Martial arts was originally started as a form of self defense. If you watch Steven Segal and Jean Claude Van Dam movies, then sure, you figure all MMA fighters are that awesome, and it's easy to go in there to KO someone. GSP knows his strengths and weaknesses. He utilizes his wrestling ability, which is why he's the champ. Royce Gracie was the most boring fighter to watch. But he was great because he utilized his ground ability. If Royce went in with your attitude, he would have been 0-40 in his MMA career.

Great fighters in the past have ko other fighters, TYSON for one get in there and bang he didnt want to win on points and I'm a huge tyson fan. as for silva atleast he submitted chael,he ko belfort,Forset,james Irvine,cote,dan henderson-submission,Franklin,tko knees,2x,nate tko, chris leben-ko knee Tony frylund-ko knee might want to check sivas finishing record of fighters again strella, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anderson_Silva SILVA FINISHED FIGHTS . And just my point Gracie finsihed fights why you used him I dont know because gracie finished fights submissions its a stoppage its exciting and in no way is a submission boring when it happens. Gracie wasnt boring at all.
