This is crazy!!! Almost unbelievable considering he doesn't finish anyone. I understand that technique means a lot, but he has Cain covered by 600+lbs. That doesn't sound right.

Technique if you can put your hip into a round house kick your going to have a powerful kick if you dont you wont.All cain was doing was trying to use more power then technique and power big difference.My best punch is a left hook and when I first started I always used my brute strength to hook not twisting and hooking turning my body and even my foot . Since I now twist then hook my hook is alot more powerful so its all about technique. Dont put to much into that punching power on the show because as we all know GSP cant knock anyone out .

I don't put much into it at all. But Cain should have the punching technique down since ge trains much more boxing than GSP. but yeah, IMO, there is no way he hits harder than those guys

Yeah, I remember when he started. I still don't see it. Personally, I would rather take a punch from GSP than Cain just going by what I have seen

applying full power in a fight is dangerous. watch the way most MMA fighters throw punches and kicks.

they throw with emphasis on getting the striking limb back to defend.

a good thai kick, one turns the plant foot all the way to the outside. this generates 2X the power but takes more time to bring back

watch a tape of amir sadollah. his kicks have really very good form.

punches and kicks all come from the feet and are multiplied in the hips.

i wonder also how they measured this. on sport science they measured houston alexander and his punch was just over 1000 PPI. i am sure he hits harder than the much smaller GSP.

and honestly would you rather take a punch from GSP or cain velasquez.
