    LETS COMPARE GSP'S AND SHIELD'S LAST 15 OPPONENTS

    Let's say they switched opponents over their last 15 fights. How do you think Shields would fair against GSP's competition and how would George do against Jake's. I see Shields maybe going 11-4 losing to Fitch, and splitting losses with Koscheck, Penn, and Hughes. Everybody is so impressed by Shields's streak but does anybody think GSP couldn't do the same. I see GSP going 15-0 against Jake's competition easy.

    It just depends. This can fall back to how big GSP is too. Shields has beat Okami (who is about to fight for the MW title and many think will beat Anderson!!) and Henderson who is tough at MW. Those are two fights that GSP would have trouble with. I don't see GSP beating Okami at all because of how strong he is.

    I think Shields could win the Hughes and Fitch fight. He would have trouble with Penn and Kos. I will give Shields a 13-2 record.

    I think GSP would have LOTS of trouble with Henderson and Okami. I would give GSP 13-2 record. I see it pretty even. But it's hard to say.

    Everyone talks about how easy Shield's record has been but look at GSP's:

    Dave Strasser...who?
    Sherk....a TRUE 155'er, he can't hang there
    Serra...another small fighter who actually TKO'd GSP
    BJ....tough, but once again MUCH smaller than GSP
    Fitch...tough but can't KO you and his wrestling is average...not a stellar fighter IMO
    Hardy...come on. He is a one trick pony he was tailor made to be beaten by GSP

    What I am getting at is Shields has fought some non-top guys but GSP has fought some fights that were easy for him to begin with. When skills are equal, size plays a big part in a fight....and GSP has the size on everyone in his division (except maybe Alves who has no cardio whatsoever.

      after gsp beat sherk and got penn and beat penn, he was dana whites godsend, a bankable fighter with a potential huge fan base in canada, thus he had backing galore, the best of everything

      shields just another fighter slugging it out

      dana white = joe weider gsp = arnold

      i'm not saying it is determining factor, yet, it's a factor

      just different roads with different hoe's

      we will find out tommorrow night, im sure we all think gsp gsp, yet, we know how fights and sports can go, oh the tension, oh the drama

          It would be the big risk takers. Easy money is on GSP. Gutsy big winning money is on Shields, because he "can" win it.

            I would throw down 100.00 on Shields at Vegas odds. I haven't looked, but I'm sure Shields is a HUGE underdog in Vegas

              Shields +300

              Yeah, those are good odds on Shields. Triple your money. Bet 500 on GSP just to win 100
