maybe i should just train and stop comparing myself to the young guys
MY BROTHER IN PAIN- SERIOUSLY JUST REDIRECT YOUR MOTIVATION TO TRAIN IN SOMETHING ELSE? MASTER KNIVES OR IMPACT WEAPONS, DO SELF DEFENSE TYPE TRAINING - YOU WOULD PROBABLY KICK ASS AND FEEL REBORN

Do what Ketsugo said train some Escrima sticks or something. Just learn now get better at things instead of taking a beating. And its still ok to spar but tone it down. We have gone 100% in sparring but like you said you get banged up. Ive come home with black eyes and my wife is like WTF . But when your doing it at 50% its still ok you wont get hurt. Learn to get better instead of getting beat up. Bereter strikes better kicks better grappling

I choose to train hard and be ready for a fight at anytime but I don't go pursue them like I used to...

i have not been in a street fight since highschool. i dont know if its confidence, luck or wisdom.

i am not worried about some bar room wanna be that windmill haymakers. but there are alot of real fighters that know how to throw a real punch and that scares me.

i will talk my way out of a fight.

As I age, I just prefer to shoot someone, you aren't sore the next day. I can go from concealed to first shot in just under 1 second. Of course I've been training in it for years.
