I don't think so. I think Roy Nelson is a very good fighter who is underestimated greatly. Brock on the other hand may be saying Roy is a good test for him but not really believe it, instead thinking he can run right through Roy and make himself look good if he makes it out like Roy is a tough guy to beat. But I think Roy is a tough guy to beat and would probably give Brock a good fight. Brock's problem is he hasn't fought many well rounded fighters. He fought Corture when he was already well past 40 and much smaller anyhow. Then he has fought Mir and won once, but Mir in my opinion is not all that great either. But Mir did find a weak spot on Brock when he submitted him the first fight. Lesnar barely made it past Carwin, which I doubt he could do again, and also this is probably why he doesn't ask to fight Carwin again. If Brock wants to gain back his reputation as the baddest man on the planet then he should ask for a fight with Carwin pure and simple. But ultimately the Heavyweight class in the UFC does not have too many great fighters, just a few that I believe are. Cain and Carwin are the top fighters in this class in my humble opinion. Thus Brock needs to try Carwin again, but it wouldn't hurt to beat Roy first.

It's a no win argument. But I will say, Roy Nelson is 10x slower than Carwin. There's no arguing that. If Nelson goes to the ground with Lesnar, he's done. If Lesnar lets Nelson stand, for some strange reason, he has a slight chance. But again, Nelson is sloooow. Sure, he hits hard. But so does Lesnar.
If and when they fight, I'll take one bet for $100 with someone that Lesnar beats him in under 60 seconds.

The problem with that is Carwin had spinal surgery and is out for at least 12 weeks

But Nelson has 10 times the cardio that Carwin does. In that same position, Roy would have won the fight where Carwin lost it. I actually think Roy is a much more well rounded fighter than Carwin.

I forgot about that spinal injury. At any rate, I will give Roy his credit as a well rounded fighter but to say he is more well rounded than Carwin is not the way I see it. Carwin, many people fail to realize was 12 and 0 before fighting Lesnar, 7 TKO/KO and 5 submissions. Nelson has 8 TKO and 5 submissions but also has 5 losses. Nelson has not fought as many good fighters as Carwin either, though both of them need to fight more UFC fights to prove themselves more. Keep in mind also that Carwin had never gone past the first round prior to Brock, perhaps that is a not good on testing your cardio but he didn't need to because he finished the fights fast. Nelson has gone all 3 rounds and thus proven himself cardio wise but still I wouldn't consider him to be in better cardio than Carwin. Carwin gassed on Brock for sure but that was his own fault for continuing to throw punches when it wasn't resulting in any more damage.
