He needs to fight in the UFC to prove anything. Beating Huerta is not a good judge of his skill. Kenny Florian and Grey Maynard beat him....and that was when he was in his prime.
But Alvarez is a good fighter....I just don't think he is the best.

On a side note....I looked at Alvarez's wikipedia page earlier and it had the results of the Huerta fight as a "DQ loss due to greasing."

Nah....I haven't seen it, but I figured he would walk through Huerta. I was pulling for Huerta because I like him, but he just isn't on that level.
I really don' think he would. I mean he had trouble with Katsunori Kikuno. He lost to Aoki.
He is fighting the top guys in Bellator, Dream, BoDog, but not the UFC guys. It's like he is winning alot in the Minors. Now he should step up to the majors.

I saw it last night and huerta wasnt even a challenge for alvarez, in the first 2 minutes something happen to huertas leg and then after that it was all down hill. huerta did knock down alverez though and should of attacked him more .As for talent alvarez has to fight in the ufc because look at his oppnts there not all grade A fighters
