Rampage blames Greg Jackson for boring fight

"I apologise for the fight not so much because I lost but because of how it went down. I always like to put on exciting fights for the fans but Rashad came out to use that ‘Greg Jackson’ plan: be boring and squeak out a victory. So that bothers me more than the loss," Rampage said.

"I remember one other thing he [Rashad] was doing - he was punching me in my knee! It was weird because I had suffered a real bad knee injury in camp but we kept it secret, we didn’t say anything about it and we didn’t even tell the UFC."

"I told my doctor and that was it, he helped me out but I was going to back out of the fight. The only reason I didn’t back out was the fight had been so hyped and I didn’t want to disappoint the fans. Why was he punching me in the knee though? That’s kind of weird - did he find out about the injury? I don’t know. Its weird."

I am starting to think that Rampage makes more excuses than any other fighter I have seen. I mean, it's just one thing after another. It's funny how it's never anything he did wrong....Rashad went out to win the fight and he executed that strategy very well.

But rashaad was boring in that fight. I'll watch the fight again if indeed rashaad was punching quinton in the knee then someone did leak the info

he was punching him in the knee.. and it was a boring ass fight ..... Rashad fought a ***** ass fight cuz he knew if he indeed did stand toe to toe he would have got his ass whooped.. hell i could have beat Rampage that way...

thats why i say we need a yellow card in American MMA like Japan. you push your opponent against the cage and hold them without trying to finish the fight then you get 10% of your purse taken for stalling

thats why i like dream and sengoku better than UFC for many fights. there is no stalling and no lay and pray from a wrestler.

a takedown only counts if you pass to a better position or do damage.

prevents borning fights and allows for more subs if the wrestler has to do somthing more than hold a guy down

My buddies and I have been saying this for years. That's the way it should be. I also like the idea they had where a guy couldn't win 2 rounds and then cruise the third.
