Mirko ‘CroCop’ Filipovic has promised Pat Barry a couple of souvenirs from their fight at UFC 115 this Saturday night, although Barry only really wants one of them. The young American counts Filipovic among his idols and has said he wants the Croatian’s autograph after their match,. Regardless of the result.
“Yes he will definitely get my autograph and hopefully on Saturday night he will get something else [to remember me by] as well. I hope to give him two things,” Filipovic joked at today’s pre-fight press conference.
“But I met him in the hotel yesterday and talked to him, I like him, he is a really nice guy. He said that if he is lucky and he wins, he might spend the next two years just sitting and staring out of the window. But he also said that if I am lucky and I win with the left head kick he might also spend the next two years staring out the window - with a nurse beside him!”
The fight takes place this weekend and is the co-main event of UFC 115. The show is being headlined by Chuck Liddell in his first fight for 14 months. He takes on former middleweight champion Rich Franklin in a light-heavyweight bout.
