when i think of top guys: guida, gomi, huerta, stevenson. perhaps not contenders but top 20 LWs and huerta top 10, gomi was #1. guida gives most guys a helluva time. kenflo smashed him.
i say after BJ v edgar 2, kenny is the next logical choice.

He beat Gomi...everyone knew that Gomi isn't what he used to be. Look at the way he fought...very few LWs would have lost to him that night.
Guida is tough but not very good.
He lost to Penn
He beat Stevenson shortly after Penn destroyed him. Stevenson should have not been in that fight. He was beat before he went into the cage.
Huerta was a bit overrated. He was like a prettier Guida. Tough guy, but no major skillset.
He beat Lauzon who wasn't ready to fight Kenny at that time...He basically got that fight because of the freak KO of Pulver
And he beat Din Thomas who was actually winning the fight until his knee went out.
My top guys in LW are :
BJ
Diego (if he would stay at 155)
Maynard
Kenny
Frankie
Tyson
Stevenson
Sotiropoulos
Sherk
Pelligrino
If he gets by Maynard, he needs to at least fight the loser of the BJ/Frankie matchup before getting a title shot. Sotiropoulos has really turned his game around too. Not to mention that he still hasn't beaten Sherk (where is Sherk by the way?) And I don't think he could beat Griffin either.
