    Rumor:Fedor to run for Senate..Will retire after Strikeforce contract

    Huge news. Massive. Just received an email from a very reliable source from Russia that Fedor will be running for a congress seat in Russia for the pro-Kremlin party 'United Russia'. The party is dominant in the country and holds around 80% of the seats in the senate and Fedor will be representing his region. That's a fact. Just wait for the official announcement which will probably come at the end of this week if not in the next few hours. Now the accompanied rumor is that after Fedor fulfills the last two fights in his Strikeforce contract, he will retire from MMA.

    If this is true, WOW!!! Well, if he does this, he went out on top. I really wanted to see him tested against the top guys of today, but you can't forget about what he has done.

      I wouldn't mess with Russian politicians. Mirko Cro Cop is also a politician, I believe a Senator equivalent to U.S. Senators.

        Man that would suck. He should finish his strikeforce contract, then do one UFC event where he fights the UFC champ just for the hell of it before he retires. If he wins he would be the undisputed P4P king, but without that win their will always be doubters.

          I wont see it as him going out on top.

          Crazy respect for the guy and his accomplishments, but "on top" no.

              i am a doubter. he wont fight the best. he picked werdum over overeem and i bet he wont fight overeem because he knows he will get destroyed
