I disagree. When you control Henderson the way he did, it doesn't matter if he put him away or not....that looks good. Especially for a guy that usually fights at 170

any fighter that cant put you away and have you mounted for 3-4 rounds isnt a good fighter- my point he's mounted now throw punches which he couldnt do to put him away.what part of he was mounted and you cant put him away,cmon dude 4 rounds mounted just shows he doesnt have what it takes to put someone away. Thats why strike force isnt even near the caliber of the UFC.and if indeed they let steroids go on there which they do strike force is a peice of shit company. Take sheilds off the gear and he probably loses then.ut I'll blame dan for this loss

So GSP not putting Hardy away means that GSP isn't good? Shield's is not a striker. He is a BJJ guy. He outwrestled a world class Grecco wrestler, he controlled a bigger stronger Henderson, and he took Henderson's best shots (most can't take them) and just because it went to the decision while Shields was on top the whole fight, he is no good? Man....they are a lot of guys in the MMA world that you have just shot down!! I mean the guy moved up to fight one of the best 185lb guys out there because there is no one at WW for him to fight, and he dominated the fight, and you say he sucks just because he isn't in the UFC.

And as far as the steroids thing, it has nothing to do with Strikeforce testing. That is up to the fighting commission....just like the UFC doesn't do their own testing.

First off steroids did alot for sheilds,it made him stronger but as we can see that didnt help in the punching dept because his strikes didnt do shit to dan. the only thing sheilds had for him was taking down a tired depleted man who didnt drop the weight in the correct fashion.Yeah if he was in the ufc his record wouldnt be the same and he wouldnt of been able to fight like he did against dan because of the steroids.and your wrong the commision wont allow steroids because they are illegal,if the strike force federation decides not to test its all on them but a commision will not allow any steroids in a fight.The ufc has a out side source according to you to test so thats good. the ufc does not allow steroids,strike force does and the commision will not allow it. thats absurd to say a boxing or mma fighting commision will allow something illegal. and as far as him taking shos he got by the first round barely.And by the 2nd dan was just gassed so yeah anyone would of been able to take dan down.but thats just abusrd dude you would think a commison would allow steroids. so if the strike force said yes we allow steroids the commision will not be a participent in it. there illegal

Who told you he was on steroids? I was using the commission to point out that Shields is not on steroids because the commission is who tests him and not Strikeforce. Just because he didnt have the gas or didnt want to gas out by putting all he had into the punches doesnt mean anything. how many times do you see someone on top and unload and then gas out and get beat in the next round.. happens all the time.. if he was juicing itll come out too.. he's gona sign with the ufc in the next couple weeks anyway

I agree with you on the steroids. Do you mean that Strike Force doesn't test for them? I pointed out to my friend watching it that he was on juice no doubt about it. Not fair at all imo. Also, GSP will beat Shields no problem imo.

If that's the case then half the UFC is probably on too. Both organizations are tested the same way. The majority of the time, both fighters get tested before a title fight, which is what this was. Going by what you say, Henderson could have been on something as well and your whole theory of "Jake won because he was on" is shot to hell anyway. As far as use goes or whatever, I admit that you know tons more than I do in that subject so I can't argue that.

Shields is not known for having punching power. He is known for ground control and wrestling which is what won the fight.
