I'm not going to waste my time.. but even if the computer says he landed more punches that doesnt compute to winning the fight.. this isnt boxing and there are MANY other factors involved.. if that was the case then they would just do away with the judges and have the computers determine the winner.. thats rediculous

its just not punching, kicking is involved and several other factors and he was the agresser also. see you wont even see it because it will show you that edgar didnt win this fight. see its people like yourself that doesnt want to see the truth. And that this fight was corrupt in some way. Bj didnt have his same shirt on he wears his personality and his actions were all different in this fight. so something did happen but you just dont want to see the facts. no judge goes 50-45 49-46 are you kidding me when even you yourself said bj won 2 rounds.

Not saying the score was perfectly accurate but Frankie was absolutely the aggressor no question about it. BJ mostly stood in the middle with Frankie circling and pushing and shooting. BJ didnt even try ONE single takedown attempt, not real aggressive for him, he usually will take you down at least once.

A lot of BJ's game is counter striking. So for him to take center octagon and basically "chase" Frankie around the ring all not, shows just as much aggression as Frankie showed IMO. And yes, BJ did have a take down attempt. So, I can see where Fuzo is coming from. I have only watched it once, but judging by the fight metrics which include kicks, BJ outpointed Frankie there. And he had just as much Octagon control. Also I found this note on the scores:

"Note: Frankie did not receive credit for a successful takedown in round 2 because he was unable to establish an advantageous position before Penn got back to his feet"

So, I can see anyone's argument that Penn won the fight. The 50-45 scoring should just freaking SHOUT that they need to fix the scoring system. This has gotten to be ridiculous...absolutely ridiculous. I am not saying this because Penn lost. I am saying this because there are a ton of fights lately where the judges have really screwed things up. I mean it has been so obvious that these judges are complete idiots to the sport of MMA. Hell, there was one judge a while back that had no idea what a submission was! I mean come on, you have a judge that is calling an MMA fight and has no idea what a submission is.....give me a break.

finaly a reasonable answer that yes bj did win tis fight on points but since he didnt do what he normaly does he loses. so if he changes his game plan and does something so unusualy tha everyone thinks he lost. but points dont lie and he won the fight stat point metrix

Bottom line BJ didnt attack Frankie and take him out of the fight, he waited around too long and left a decision up in the air. As a belt holder you shouldnt make the opponent take the belt from you, you should smash them and show why you are the title holder. I think the deal is that people know BJ is better than what he showed. As a title fight I assumed the decision would go to BJ but as just a normal fight I thought Frankie squeeked it out but thats just my opinion.

Ok I respects everyones opinion but why are there a few of you not taking in the stat punch/kick/grappling,agressive/ece,ect,ect that the computer analyst system came back with bj winning the fight. Why cant anyone understand that. Yes in a tight fight it should of went to bj no doubt. so thats why there is somekind of foul play in the ufc with the judges or who even knows maybe dana white.

I think we are comparing MMA judging to boxing judging too much. Boxing seems more go by the numbers, while MMA seems more opinionated and based less on the actual strikes landed. I'd be interested to hear some of the judges scoring criteria that they use.

The problem is that the judges use the boxing model too much and they have no idea how to score a MMA fight. It has been a problem for far too long. I understand that the scoring system is something that is tough to fix, but there has to be a better way. I mean, the UFCs commentators even comment on it during the events. Dana has even said something about it but there is not much they can do. That don't have control over the judges.
