    i went with hardy in livingsteel's thread cuz i think gsp is buyinh into the hype that he's untouchable in a way. im seeing this as a rocky 3 type thing, gsp isn't hungry and dan has the eye of the tiger to knock him the **** out

      GSP will have to take him to the mat and keep it there. If it stays as a standup fight, then Dan has a pretty good chance. Should be a good fight either way.

        GSP will win the GNP on this one... Hardy has good power and this is MMA so anything can happen...

        On another note, the UFC Primetime shows have been great! I wish they would do these for every upcoming event

          I agree man. These shows were a good idea and they will build a lot of hype for the events. Hell, I get all hyped up watching them!!

          Yeah, GSP will have to win it on the ground. He says that he can beat him standing but he can't. He throws multiple strikes but GSP is not a great striker. And he does not have very good head movement....Hardy will eat him up and a banging war IMO

            I see Hardys talk as a way to try and convince himself that he can win. I really think GSP trains as hard as possible all the time and wont let up. I really think getting KOd by Serra is still in his mind. Certainly GSP can get KOd but I would be fairly surprised if he did. GSPs standup is actually very good, i believe it is one of the most accurate in all of MMA, he just doesnt have the crazy KO power. (Im pretty sure I saw the stats on this somewhere and his striking percent was one of the highest dont care to look it up though)

              GSPs striking is more flashy than anything. It has gotten better over the years but he is nowhere near an accuracy rate of Silva, Penn, Machida, etc...But the thing is that without KO power, most fighters aren't afraid of his striking. He has said that he is really focusing on gaining more power but we will have to see if that is happening. More than likely GSP will dominate this fight on the ground as he has every other fight. That is just what he is good at. He won't win a fight stand up fight with many of the top level fighters.

                gsp hasnt knocked anybody out ever in 21 of his fights. And like tnz said if it goes to the ground its just another boring gnp fight from gsp.

                    Yeah but I always wnted to see gsp do some kick ass stuff instead of just taking you down and gnp. Its like I like brock but he takes you down and i'm going to eventualy get bored of him doing that ,but thats if he does. maybe his stand up will be alot better now.I would love to see gsp stand with hardy for 5 rounds

                      I HOPE IT DOES GO 5 ROUNDS WITH THIS FIGHT. THAT WILL SHOW EVEN MORE HOW GOOD OF SHAPE AS AN OPPONENT HARDY IS FOR HIM.

                        Well, GnP is not as bad as people like Sherk, where he would LnP on you. When it goes to the ground, I am fine with it as long as the fighter is trying to end the fight. But when it goes to the ground and the fighter does just enough to keep it on the ground but really doesn't take any chances to end the fight, then that is when it is boring.

                        I mean you can't really fault GSP for taking his opponents down and winning the fights. That is just what he does. There are really only a few fighters that can truly dominate a fight no matter here it goes. Others just have their strengths and weaknesses.

                        I would like to see it go 5 as well. But GSP says that he has to get rid of Hardy quickly. So he will probably come out and get it to the ground asap. The longer the fight goes, the more the chances increase that Hardy will catch GSP.

                          I AM ALMOST TO THE POINT WHERE I WANT GSP TO DOMINATE HARDY....THEN MOVE TO MIDDLE WEIGHT TO GET SOME COMPETITION. I WANT TO SEE HIM TESTED BIG TIME

                              You just cant' stand GSP can you lol. Maybe you should be his coach tell him to fight standing up for the entire fight for the mere fact certain people want to see that...regardless of his strategy for every fight depending on the fighter he is fighting. How many times does he need to prove himself to keep you happy! Another 3 straight wins.

                              The guy is obviously well talented and has his youth on his side in comparison to Harding. I would bet some funds on it...but I'm broke at the moment lol

                                well atleast I know GSP is a great fighter in some aspects but needs work on others aspects but I just want to see him lose thats all,lol. If I see gsp bang with hardy all 5 rounds and it goes to a decision I'll have more respect for gsp. But if he takes him down and I fall asleep then forget it
