    Live UFC events hit movie theaters nationwide beginning with UFC 111

    Live Ultimate Fighting Championship events will be shown in more than 300 theaters nationwide thanks to a deal the fight promotion struck with the NCM Fathom entertainment company.

    Beginning with UFC 111 on March 27, the UFC's pay-per-view shows will air in high-definition on screens from a variety of movie-theater groups.

    UFC fighters will even host live events in theaters across the country on fight night.

    How are you gonna drink cold beer in a theater? I live in Vegas so I get to go to the casinos to watch it on the big screen with a full bar so no concern to me but that is pretty cool.

    Guess this is good for those of you who don't get to watch the fights anywhere though. Paying for it on the PPV would get old fast.

      well me and my buddies always chip in a few bucks and get the fights ...now it will probably be more expensive

        Well, it will cost the same as a movie ticket. So depending on how much you chipped in, it won't be that bad. Personally, I will still get them at home. The theatre will be freaking packed. Not to mention how quick the movie theatre fills up...you will have to get there so early to get a seat. I wouldn't want to chance it. It's a good idea though to get MMA into the mainstream.

        Can you imagine seeing Brock on a big old IMAX screen? Now that would be cool!

          Sounds cool, Especially on the IMAX Fork and Screen in ATL. Eat dinner and have a beer while watching

                People will get out of line, there will be fights there, will be chaos,there will be screaming and yelling.People will try and smuggle in beer and when the 15yrd kid says you cant eat that or drink that and the ufc fan says fuk off then what happens. Sounds like a good idea but there are alot of negatives to this. I will be watching these fights from home on my couch

                  I am sure there will be some kind of rating on it where the kids can't be in there. It will basically be your Buffalo Wild Wings crowd. They have had a boxing venue like this before and they made a killing from what I read. Personally, I would rather just watch it at the house without all of the guys that have magically learned everything there is to know about MMA by watching a PPV event.

                      Oh, it is definitely like that here too!! There are 3 MMA teams in my area now, I think....and these guys think they own the town man. If casual fans were to say something the wrong way, then that's all it takes. I know EXACTLY what you mean...haha! I have some friends that would much rather fight you than look at you.
