Appears some main events will have to be shuffled. Machida will not be fighting Shogun again as planned in January. He needs surgery on his hand and even if he didn't, he was medicaly suspended for 60 days after the fight which would have made a rematch in less than 90 days hard to train for. Also... The Lesnar/Carwin fight main event for ufc 106 has been pushed back to ufc 108 as Lesnar claims he was unable to train for almost 4 weeks due to a severe flu... But he WAS feeling okay enough to attend the recent Vikings/Panthers game during the peak of his supposed flu. Joe Dilva wil be scrambling to get another big name main event.

It's not mandatory because many fighters don't get suspended and some just get 30 days. Most of the time, it is because there is an injury and that give them these days to go to the doctors and get a final opinion. Machida has said that the leg kicks didn't bother him that much except the inside of one of his legs got sore. maybe his hand was hurt during the fight since he didn't do shit in the cage. Faber broke both hands vs Brown and still managed to throw elbows and take the fight to his opponent. MAybe Machida was shell shocked due to the injury.You may not recognize your mom when you get home, I shaved her back.

He did put himself in that position by throwing a spinning back elbow...who throws those? His hands were broken, he had to have surgery. Fighters finish fights with broken hands all of the time. DId you notice that after he broke them, he threw elbows only? Of course he can take a punch, that is obvious. He pushed him around because he is stronger. Yes and yes. Still doesn't matter. Some nights fighters just don't perform. Had Faber not broken his hands, I think he would have won the second fight. It was going totally different than the first.Originally posted by FUZO View Post
Okay, that was a bad comparison. Being mandhandled means nothing in MMA. Look at any fight that had one guy getting his ass handed to him, and then he pulls out the win. That is the nature of the beast. We will see though, Faber will work his way up to a rematch very quickly and Brown will have no choice but to fight him again.
