I don't know about you guys but I have been a fan of Shogun for a LONG time!! I really like Machida too and think he is almost unstoppable. With that being said, if anyone can stop him, I think its Shogun. Shogun's fighting style is one that should really give Machida some trouble.

I understand his technique but yeah its more backing up. That tito fight was a shame .Tito came to fight and it was boring.To bad tito didnt have more time left to choke machida out.If ya look at all of his fights i'll give him credit for the last 2 but then 7 fights before that up until bj pennwhich machida out weighed penn by 30lbs and it could of went penns way big time.And then franklin was early in his career when he lost to him at the Inoki Bom-Ba-Ye 2003-Inoki Festival. So just lie rashad and bisping all of machidas fightsd have been with no names or easy dudes who lack skills imo except a few

I'll take that bet!! I am a HUGE Shogun fan, but he is not the same Shogun that was in Pride. He is most famous for his head kicks while on the ground and those are not legal here. I think Machdia takes this one by TKO.
As far as Machida running backwards, I agree that he didn't engage much when he first came into the UFC but you can't say that anymore. He was very aggressive with Rashad and Thiago. Avoiding Tito was the best gameplan. Tito's only chance was GnP and Machida was avoiding the TD. he was aggressive when he had to be....I mean come on, the only TDs in that fight were Machida taking Tito down.

Im not a big fan of either, but I think Machida will win. Since that Shogun Coleman fight I think Shoguns a bum now, but he will have to prove me wrong. I know he beat Chuck, but thats not saying much now a days.

Well, the Coleman fight is not a good judge. He had knee surgery, then he blew that knee out again which caused him to have to surgery again, and then he had to have surgery on his other knee. He was out of the game for a while because of this and could not train. He looked MUCH better in the Chuck fight. I am not talking about the way he won. I am just referring to his cardio and his aggressiveness. If he improves from there and gets back to the Shogun of old, he can run things in the UFC. Shogun is no joke!!! I just don't think he is back at the top of his game yet and Machida is at his peak!!

ill take that bet too. shogun went 3 rounds with mark coleman.... come on... i cant even believe we are gonna argue this one... great shogun knocked out liddel who should be retired already. shogun has been hit with injuries for the last 3 years. its over. loyoto has the 2nd heights % of landed hits in ufc history behind silva. and he has been hit the least.

I'll still take the bet but I watched the chuck fight and again chuck dropped his gaurd and got caught and he had that round winning . same hand all those fights he recently lost. So i'll stick with shogun but he beat a chuck liddel who's training is out dated who needed a new camp and a new direction. If chuck can change his ways he should fight again. Atleast try to fight jardine again
