Well, he has no where to go. I mean, he can't beat Anderson at 185. He won't win the title at 205. He keeps having to take these meaningless catch weight fights just to make a check. He is turning into a gatekeeper. He is one of my favorites, but I think he is about done. I say he retires once his contract is up, if Dana doesn't do something before then.

IF HE'S STUCK IN 2ND PLACE THEN JUST KEEP FIGHTING AND WAIT. ANDERSON WILL GET BEAT ONE DAY SO THEN FRANKLIN CAN HAVE HIS CHANECE AGAIN. MAYBE DAN WILL BEAT ANDRSON THIS TIME AND RICH FIGHTS DAN. Don't get me wrong, I for sure don't want to see him quit. Like I said, he has been one of my favorites since first seeing him fight and reading his story. He is a real class act.Originally posted by FUZO View Post
The other issue is Vitor. Vitor will likely get the title shot at Anderson before Henderson or Marquardt (judging by an interview with Dana). That makes two guys that have walked through Franklin and are at the top. I think Franklin can beat Dan (I actually thought he won their first fight), and I think he can beat Marquardt (although Marquardt has really improved).
