    the best Light Heavyweight Champion

    I have to say its chuck liddel. he had the belt for almost 3 years he defended it 4 times and won. I will still say this his partying contributed to his down fall imo. He got caught 2x by rampage and rasheed by making simple mistakes.He took jardine to lightly and with Mauricio he didnt train like he should have. He needed to drop his training team and get someone else or work with someone else if he wouldnt drop them.But as far as the best ever at LHW its chuck. when rampage had the belt he lost his first title defense to forest. when rasheed had the belt he lost it to machida. so by far he hs been the best at LHW

    yeah id have to agree it is chuck.. but ... he shouldve retired in '06.. while he was on top

      I agree that Chuck is...as of now. I really think that Machdia has the potential to be the best as well. I think that sport has grown so much though that it will hard to reign any division that long. In those days, Chuck could just stand up and win fights. That day is over now. You must have the whole package to really compete and to hold on to a title

          Rampage will be eaten alive by Machida. Forrest would be a better fight, but I think that Forrest plays right into Machida's gameplan. That is a really bad matchup for Forrest stylistically.

            machida wont even last a year as champ as long as he has a few fights in that time.Chuck kicked ass and ruled with power and kicks and quickness and he stopped the take downs. Partying and age caught up with him. He should of stopped partying to much

              rampage has too much power for machida.. bottom line.. and forrest isnt some bum off the street..

                The only reason I agree here is because the level of competition has gotten better. Machida has the same qualities as Chuck. Machida has as good TD defense, that is why Tito could not get him down. He has better striking all around. He might not have as much power but he has KO power.

                So did Thiago, Rashad, Tito, Sokoudjou, White, and Franklin, but they couldn't get it done. The problem is that Rampage can't get the power to something he can't hit. Machida has taken some HUGE shots to the chin and not been phased. He has got a good chin and way too much movement for Rampage. Rampage will easily be sucked right into Machida's game. I think that Rashad is going to beat Rampage and I really like Rampage too...he is a hometown boy

                I didn't say anything about Forrest because I really like Forrest. He is a top fighter or mine, but he has said himself that he doesn't want any part of Machida.

                  I'll have to agree Machida will be around for a little while and the main reason I think that is, on top of being the hardest man on the planet to hit he has a chin to back most shots that do land. He is a complete package and no weaknesses have been found in his game yet.

                  I just hope Rampage pulls of a Henderson/Bisping style KO on Rashad.

                        and he beat up alotta has beens...so what..i highly doubt that rashad beats rampate.. and yes rampage can beat machida ... forrest can if he puts his mind too it especaly if he looses to silva.. cause if he wins.. he will be a hero..

                          Thiago? He was an undefeated top contender when Machida beat him

                          Tito? Tito is tough any time...remember, he beat Forrest, the guy you speak so highly of.

                          Sokoudjou? He was also the "next big thing" until Machida beat him.

                          Franklin? He has never been a has been. Machida was the only person to KO him until Anderson

                          White? I'll give you White because he is old. But Vernon is a bad dude!!

                          Rashad? He was only the undefeated LHW champ that ran through everyone until he got to Machida.

                          So, where are the "has beens?"

                            tito is a has been... he is washed up and when he comes back to dana.. dana is only gonna use him for his name for one


                            2- forrest got fuqued... he won that fight.. lettem rematch.. that will prove it to u when forrest dog walks all overtitos arse ...

                            did u see alves last fight where he didnt have any offense... wow.. what a contender..gimme a break... and when rampage destroys rashad what u gonna say then

                              Forrest would run through Tito, just like Machida did. Doesn't help your point

                              Alves? Not Thiago Alves man. Thiago Silva is the one Machida fought. Alves isn't in the same weight class.

                              It sounds to me like you are just hating on Machida. He is going to be around for a while. He is fighting Shogun next. He was the number one LHW in the world even when Chuck was on top. Are you going to say he is a has been too when Machida beats him?
