    Dana looks to sign Barnett if he beats Fedor

    UFC President, Dana White has revealed that if former UFC heavyweight champion, Josh Barnett can defeat Fedor Emelianenko on August 1st at Affliction: Trilogy, he will look to bring him back to the octagon.

    Speaking at the UFC 99 Q & A session for UFC Fight Club members, Dana said:

    “If Josh Barnett beats Fedor, obviously I'd be interested in signing Josh Barnett. If he beat Fedor, obviously, he's one of the best in the world.”

    Barnett captured the UFC heavyweight crown in 2002, defeating Randy Couture but he was swiftly stripped of the title after testing positive for steroids. He continued his career in Japan for the following four years.
    Very smart!!! If he somehow beats Fedor then the UFC could probably sign him since he was once in the UFC. This means that if Fedor ever wanted a rematch, then Fedor would have to come to the UFC to get it. Then the UFC would have all of the top HWs.....tell me Dana doesn't know what he is doing.

    I dont think fedor will lose though

          Oh, I agree that Fedor will win. But Barnett has the best chance of anyone that he has faced to actually pull it out. He is a very well rounded fighter and has the size advantage. But I'm with you guys....I'll never bet against Fedor!!
