we had a drinking game going on during this match. every time rogan or goldie said unorthodox you had to drink a beer. what a couple of dum****es, a front kick and straight punch are unorthodox??? as traditional a technique as there is. gotaa love em. and machida will be taking that title from evans soon.

I told you Machida is the real deal. So many have jumped his case saying that he couldn't finish fights....he can finish fights. He will reign LHW and hold the belt for a long time

I started liking Machida a little while back when they had that whole UFC primetime thing on him with him doing Karate on the beach with the sunsetting. I thought it was kind of funny but he reminded me of the Karate Kid. I agree that he could def beat Evans, yet, Evans seems to always find a way to win. It will be an interesting fight though because both fighters seem to play off their opponents attack. Although I didn't know too much about Thiago Silva, Machidas victory was very impressive and fun to watch.

thiago is a bad a$$ phucker. lots of ko's and serious skills. this was a hardcore stoppage just like the one machita had over Sokaju. machida is the man. showing finally that we karate guys can actually fight.

Its funny that you say that...last night we were talking about how funny it would be for someone to pull out the crane kick?

Thiago is a pretty well rounded guy but Machida was the first top level striker that he had faced.

I agree... that fight was CRAZY, I didnt think it would go down that way for one second.. I loove the way Thiago fights, I was disappointed to see him go down like that, but I definitely gotta give it to Machita, that guy is for real, I would like to see him go up against Anderson Silva.. their games are actually pretty similar

He will never fight Silva. They are friends. Machida is the reason that Anderson will never permanently move to LHW and challenge the belt. Anderson said that LHW is "Machida's belt to win" and his job is to defend the MW belt.

I tell you who would give Anderson the best fight at MW...Vitor Belfort! He has dropped to 185 and looks awesome man!!! He completely smoked Matt Lindland and Lindland was known as number 1 or 2 MW in the world!! That would be a fight to see.
