Ok first off, Rogan is an exciting commentator but his knowledge of fighting, esoecially traditional arts like karate is seriously lacking or downright biased. why is it that you get guys like Machida destroying people with basic karate front kicks and side kicks and you get almost no kudos from him? Until his last fight with tito when Rogan actually acknowledged the long years of training and the "powerful" kicks of kyokyushinkai. and that dude Amir was killing dudes in TUF all season with that nasty front snap kick. Even the two fights with Holloway AMir threw the front kick and Holloway's face screwed up in paon and he would drop. Rogan says something retarded like "he;s having trouble with Amir because his kicks are coming from such unorthodox angles. DUDE, it's a PHUCKING FRONT KICK!!! THere's only ONE angle. KNee comes up, points straight at your target and fires. For someone who holds a black belt in a kicking art like Tae Kwon Do Rogan doesn't seem to know or remember much of his basic training.

its because many people cant utilize much of traditional MA in MMA. i have a shodokan and when i am sparring in MMA and revert back to this either the guy is confused for a bit or he immediately overwhelms me.
most MA dont translate to MMA like Tae Kwon Do which just dosnt work.
that dosnt mean you cant take from them the stuff that works.
IMO stick to the basics. BJJ, Wrestling and thai boxing"SHIAT BIOTCH, thats a big ass!"

I have been watching UFC for a while from what I remember Rogan has been saying how dangerous Machida is even before he came to the UFC.
