    GSP vs Fitch may be official!!

    DreamFighters.com has learned through various sources that GSP's next title defence will be against Jon Fitch.

    Dana White has also confirmed on CTV Sportsnet that the fight is now official, as Fitch was the number 1 contender.

    Jon Fitch is comming off a huge winning streak, as his recent loss comming all the way back from 2002 against Wilson Gouveia at HOOK n SHOOT.
    This will be a good fight. I think GSP will win no problems but Fitch is a very good fighter.

    I agree, this should be a good matchup, Fitch is tough,... only thing tho, I think Fitch compars well with Koscheck and you all see what GSP did to him,... I would like to see Kos get another shot at him, I think he is the #2 in the division

        I honestly think they are going to have to really hype this fight to draw interest.

          While I think this is the best fight they can put together I still think its not going to be a contest. GSP destroyed argueably one of the greatest 170lbers. of all time in Matt Hughes. Then the champion didn't even get a shot in on him. I don't see anyone beating him for a long time.

              Fitch is top notch comp for him though. He has run through everyone they have put against him. He is tough and is good all around. I think it will be a much better fight than the Serra fight. On the other boards I am a member of, this is a fight that everyone wants to see...the hype is there for it. For the general public they will have to hype it just because they won't know Fitch's name.

                fitch is undefeated since training at AKA. he is twenysomthing and 2.

                it is a great matchup. GSP has shown his wrestling is top notch.

                  Fitch is a tuff SOB. saw him stay calm and ride out a mean choke from Diego. GSP will have to utilize some of his nasty strikes and not just wrestle.
                  You may not recognize your mom when you get home, I shaved her back.

                    I think that Fitch will have a hard time with GSPs quickness and strength/size. GSP is a big 170.
