yeah he's definately very down to earth....I've been training jiu-jitsu at one of his affiliates for about 4 years now and he comes down every 6 months or so to do seminars and give out belts....super nice guy

sweet bro. i saw the fight against F shammy. he looked composed and patient. the format of the exc dosnt lend itself to the slow methodical BJJ style but he did win by DQ.

true, i wish i started it when i was younger. my standup is fair but my sub defense is bad, even if you dont intend on applying submissions knowing them helps keep out of them

I remember 16 years ago when I was stationed in Brazil with the Marines, I met Rickson Gracie in Rio De Janero. He and I became good friends for many years, and we hung out for the 2 years I was stationed there. I trained pretty much every day with him, and officially became a Blue Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
