Im not a great follower of ufc but i watched that fight, he was very impressive.
I was surprised as a lot of the ufc ive seen involves a great deal of ground work and this guy seemed to be able to evade hughes grappling , I think the stand up fighters are always gonna be disadvantaged but he seems to be very fast and possibly can grapple pretty well himself it might seem.
very entertaining fighter. strong and fast. is it fair to say that hughes was sub his best on the night or was he just dominated by the younger faster gsp who may be coming of age. -

I think this fight woke Matt's ass up and humbled him a little (he needed it). I honestly believe he'll be back and take back the title.Comment

HAHA thats a negative ghsortrider ,it will be very very hard to take teh tittle from george ...for any one... MATT will not be able to take GSP every again .
it was a massacre .manhandled. matt has no ****ings tand up ..AT ALL . he ok on the ground....and when he gets in trouble , he acts liek he gets poked in the eye , or kicked in the sack ...whata puss ! other then decent ground game and beeing strong guy ....he has nothing else going for him , he would get murdered in pride .Comment

The way I see that fight, Matt had a big head thinking he would win easy since he beat him before and had been training stand up, Then he didn't play his field by going to the ground cause he was cooky. After a bit, GSP kicked matt in the nuts twice and won. Matt will get it back, he beat him before when he played his ground game.Comment

No way Matt will come back. GSP has inproved very much. He fought off two of Matt's takedown attempts and made Matt look like a complete amateur. Matt would of got owned in the first round if it wasn't for the bell. I say GSP will reign champion for a while. Matt doesn't have a chance coming back. Plus Matt almost got owned by BJ Penn. I'm sure if BJ Penn goes for a re-match he'll beat Hughes if he increases his stamina.NO PAIN, NO GAIN

Matt had his butt handed to him in that fight. I think GSP is head and shoulders above anyone else in that division. Personally I think the person that has the best chance is BJ Penn. He would've beaten Matt if his cardio was where it needed to be. He did take that fight on short notice. GSP will hold that title for a long time!Comment

The thing about the UFC is anyone can lose to anyone at any time. Anyone can slip up and leave thier chin open...anyone can slip up and get submitted...no one stays on top forever and everyone can be beat. Just look at Lidell and Couture...they went back and forth.I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.
