Dana White Threatens to Sue Manny Pacquiao Over Reported Negotiations With Conor McGregor

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White isn’t afraid to lawyer up should negotiations between Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor hold true.
Late last week, a report surfaced claiming that future boxing Hall of Famer Pacquiao opened talks for a bout with McGregor. The report noted that both fighters were targeting the match-up for April 2018.


When asked about the legitimacy of the report, White delivered a warning (via MMAFighting.com):
“That would be weird because he’s under contract with us. If that’s true, I will be suing Manny Pacquiao and whoever’s representing him, so I’m assuming that’s not true. Yes, [Conor’s next fight is in the UFC].”

Promoters lie, i know, i know, shocking, but it's true. this is drama to hype the upcoming boxing match, and it WILL happen because he's a pop culture hot ticket item right now, and people would shell out big ppv dollas to watch Conor enter a hot dog eating contest. Pac Man and his lawyers are savvy enough to have all their ducks in a row and get permission to set this up with Dana and the boys. The angry rhetoric is for the wwe type fans to get the talking started and get people jawing about this thing. Much like Dana stating he'd be "super pissed" if GSP didn't defend the belt if he won it form Bisping. It was arranged ahead of time GSP would vacate after a big payday for both him and the UFC. If you really think Conor is about to go back in the cage and get leg kicked or choked again for roughly 3 mil with ppv points instead of face Pac Man in the ring for hundred plus mil with no elbows opening him up you're a special kind of stupid. His ufc days are over unless he suddenly finds himself not selling boxing ppv's and he's in serious need of money. He came, he saw, he milked the ufc for all it was worth and transcended it and won't go slumming back there again if he can avoid it.
