Anymore I just have no interest in college or pro sports. It's become such a distraction in our society. We have become like that Roman Empire so glutenous that we need so much entertainment. Personally rather just watch little kids play anymore, where joy in the sport is still there.
I see it as a waste of time anymore. I will watch some NFL football but not at all like I used to.
So is TV. TV is poison for the mind. If I turn on the TV, Im bored in 5 minutes. I way rather live my own life than watching someone else live theirs
Totally agree. I decided a few years ago that it was a pointless emotional rollercoaster. The odds of my team winning a championship are low so why invest the mental energy? And if my team wins the cup, great! I'll celebrate with everyone.
Lots of sports in our house but it isn't really my thing. I love the fact that my daughter is in them though. I am just trying to keep her humble and not to much of an ego. I feel sports depicts so much more of an egotistical side, especially if a person is good. There truly are some very talented pro athletes that seem to maintain a good balance, however, that is just what we see on TV. I guess watching them on TV bores me a bit but going to an event live I do really enjoy! I love to see people having fun and all the excitement. the concessions are good too,lol
Personally rather just watch little kids play anymore.

it would be best if you did not watch the kids play from your van.
but i hear ya. the joy of that is all but gone as well as parents push their kids to be the best and their life becomes about the sport. camps and seminars. practices every day.
the purist sport you will ever see is a pick up half court basketball game at the park or kids playing tackle football with no pads and a nerf.
I love pro and college football but watch 1 game a week or I waste dozens of hours. I like boxing and MMA too but fast forward through boring fights.
I like to watch the nfl but it's not a neeeeeed. If I catch a game when I get off its cool....if not I'll live.
This is why I watch wrestling. Keeps me entertained and let's me forget my problems for awhile
