Dude is a soccer legend - no doubt. Me being a huge soccer fan, following all the European/South American teams - he was one of the best players in 90's..now he comes here and will be making what 250 mill..in 5 years or so.. huge amount of money...

no one in america gives a ****... they paid him a ton of money for nothing... the interest will fade fast...as will his skills. He is not going to revolutionize soccer in america... just like pele didnt back in the 70's/ America just doesnt really care about soccer...... and i played my entire life.... so im not just talking trash.I'm Just an old chunk of Coal, But I'm gonna be a DIAMOND some day.

wifey was going to fly me down there to watch a game but he still has a contract with england so hes going to be back and forth for a while so there is no for sure way to see him play for a while at leastComment

I've played in 74 till 86, both in the U.S. and back then West Germany. everybody played and enjoyed it here till the NASL was over with. the thing I hear the most is the scores are minimal,..90 minutes to maby score 1 zip. I think the world cup really turned people off, guys diving and playing like they'd been shot or something really sucks...and I admit I dont watch it much either jus because. hell, back in the day it was pretty hardcore no college nancy boys like now, in Germany we even had dirt pitches. anybody could play, you didn't have to be seven feet tall or 275.Leaders did what others weren't willing to do, now they enjoy the things that others do not.

Why is it that american's call it "soccer"?? Its called football !!! American's couldn't figure out what to call there own sport so they stole the rest of the worlds term..football? It makes a whole lot of sense calling soccer football cus you use your feet and you have a ball? american football you throw and catch?? maybe kick it a couple of times a game. American's should change their prize sporting event name to "throw ball"...that makes a lot more sense to me....lol....just joking around guysComment
