You got guys like Chris Leak not even getting drafted. He wins a National title and doesn't even get drafted. Troy Smith, who totally blew it in the Title game, gets drafted. FL had 19 guys up for the draft and only 9 were taken. Even Jessie Daniels of LSU was left on the table. This was by far the deepest draft ever. There was very good talent still going in the 7th round. Darius Walker, the RB for Notre Dame, was left on the table. Out of the top 200 ranked palyers, 24 were left on the table. That's a lot IMO. I was glad to see Danny Ware from UGA not get picked for bailing out early on my Dogs. I wasn't happy to see the other DE opt out early too but both UGA DE's went on day one, so, what can you do? I was surprised no one grabbed UGA's punter though. That guy had the best average in college for landing punts inside the 20. That's a key element in the NFL for sure. Instead, guys with more leg and less aquracy went. I'm not real sure of the thought process behind that. I think if I was a special teams coach I would want a guy who could pin you down inside the 20 consistantly as opposed to someone who's leg strength might result in a touchback.
Anyways, my team got all the guys they needed to fill all the holes they have (besides Vick - lol) so I'm excited.
