  • Falcons Fire Mora.........

Wow! All I can say is wow! Vick still sucks at passing and the Def Cor still has his job. WOW! How the hell do you have 6 former pro bowlers on your defense, lose 9 games and still get to keep your def cor job? How does that happen? There needs to be more people gone that just Mora. IMO

Vick needs to lose his job for one. He is not intelligent enough to run an NFL offense. They have had to simplify and simplify to the point where it is easy for defensive cordinators to game plan against him. Yeah he might break the long one every now and then but I guarantee when that happens someone missed their assignment.

Excellent point bro! He's not smart at all. I was told that he took the easiest classes at VT and that he barely passed and that of those he was probably 'assisted' with grades to get a passing score. You are right, he's not smart enough to run a NFL offense. I don't think they should fire him, they should make him a receiver. Of course, that's if he can actually catch. We know he can run, but can he catch. If not, I would gladly trade his ass for two excellent O linemen and a first round pick.

However, don't you think the fact that he is hands down the most ellusive QB to play the game and simultaneously the highest sacked per attempt QB have something to say about the O line? What if he had a great line, I mean a great line that could give him atleast 3 seconds on every play, do you think that would help? Just look at Garcia, hell, that dude was pretty much written off as useless and then gets an opportunity to get back in a west coast offense and is kicking ass with guys he is still establishing chemistry with. Vick has been with the Falcons for 5 years now. He either knows it or he doesn't by now. If not, he needs to go or change roles.

Tell me no one seen Mora's termination coming? You gotta be kidding me if you didn't see it coming? Let me remind you of an interview a month ago:
But Mora's tenure also was marked by an odd series of off-field distractions, including the embarrassment he caused himself during a Seattle radio station interview before a crucial game against Dallas last month.

Mora said his "dream job" was to coach at the University of Washington, his alma mater, and that he'd jump at the chance to take it - even if the Falcons were in the middle of the playoffs. The fact the school already has a coach, Tyrone Willingham, only added to the embarrassment.

Mora claimed he was only kidding with the radio host, former college teammate and former backup Atlanta quarterback Hugh Millen, but conceded that it didn't sound that way after listening to a tape of the interview.

The comments were broadcast nationally, upsetting Falcons fans and angering Blank. The coach was summoned to Blank's Atlanta office the day before the Dallas game to discuss the issue, then sent out alone before the media to make an apology.

"I obviously was very disappointed in those comments," Blank said. "I spoke to him about it, and he took responsibility for it. He felt badly about it and he apologized to the Atlanta. He has a real fondness for the community.

Mora also endured an awkward situation created by his father. The senior Mora, also speaking on a radio show, agreed with a co-host that Vick was a "coach killer."

Vick was clearly upset by the comment and left to wonder if the father's opinion was influenced by private comments from Atlanta's coach, who worked hard to patch up any rift by saying he would take Vick over anyone in NFL history if he was starting a team.
“I don't look ahead... I keep focused on my next opponent. I am looking forward to my next opponent, I don't think past that point.”

Oh no, no surprise to me all! The surprise is that he was the 'only one' fired, that's the surprise.
