It has long been said, by me, that Daunte Culpepper will truely show how much he sucks down in Miami. I will say that by mid season, Harrington will be the starter in Miami. Culpepper will probably be a big puss and fake injury as not to bruise his ego by getting benched. ALL HAIL HARRINGTON!!

Re: THE DEMISE OF DAUNTE CULPEPPER
Harrington just needs the right offense to be what he can. Look at Bret Favre, he was 3rd string in ATL and was cut by Glanville because he couldn't cut it. Went to Green Bay and was a super star. You can take a talented guy and puthim in the worng offense and he wont perform as well as he can. Harrington will be great in my opinion, he just needs the offense to do it.

Re: THE DEMISE OF DAUNTE CULPEPPER
I`ve been a Harrington fan for years. You should have seen him at Oregon, he was argueably the most pro style QB that has thrown the rock at the university level. To be able to handle NFL level complexities at such a young age is what took Oregon so far that year. Kind of reminds me of somone like Flutie or Montana or Gannon. What they lacked in skill (athletically as they got older) they made up for with knowledge of the game, recongize the def, know your hot route, know when and what audible to call etc.
And I agree with T-dog, that guy just needs a good offence and he`ll shine. He`d probably rock in a west coast style offence like Seattle.

Re: THE DEMISE OF DAUNTE CULPEPPER
Here has been his struggling factor: he's never had anyone to learn from. For instance, if he came in under say John Elway, Rich Gannon or Peyton Manning he would be ten times better than he is now. But, he's had no one to teach him or to learn from by example. He was at Detroit for crying out loud, how do you expect a QB to get better on that team. They should have went straight for a quality veteran back then and they could have done a lot more with the WR's that were there. I remember in an interview with Harrington they asked him "what's the biggest difference between the NFL and college?" and he said "No one's ever open." That right there is a lack of having a veteran coach and veteran WRs. If he had two veteran WRs they would have done with him like they did Rothlesberger. Rothlesberger said the same thing, that the WRs looked covered and they told him "just throw the ball and we'll do the rest." But, when you don't have quality WRs they aren't confident enough to say that type of thing. Harrington is going to have a great career in the NFL and with a coach like Saban he's going to learn more about defenses this year than he has his entire NFL career.Originally posted by superdogI`ve been a Harrington fan for years. Re: THE DEMISE OF DAUNTE CULPEPPER
LOL! Well, after an 0-2 start, there is already word around Miami that Culpepper may be benched. See, he really really does suck!“I don't look ahead... I keep focused on my next opponent. I am looking forward to my next opponent, I don't think past that point.”

Re: THE DEMISE OF DAUNTE CULPEPPER
Miami needs big DB's, they look like Nebraskas DB's against USC. But it doesn't matter as long as we have culpepper's worthlessness in. I don't know harrington can do much better, but i sure would like to see him get a chance.

Re: THE DEMISE OF DAUNTE CULPEPPER
He was big and agile. Saban wanted someone who could be a pocket passer, and also be cool and calm when being flushed out of the pocket. Cuplepper possesses both of those skills. However, he's just can't complete the whole picture and pass the ball accurately!Originally posted by whosyourdadi View Post"Can someone please tell me why saban picked up culpepper, of all QBs floating this last year?"
There were many choices, but not many were proven QB's. Kerry Collins? How many guys really want to take a chance on him?
Aaron Brooks? Drew Brees? Brian Griese? Jeff George (lol)? All QB's, but none proven to handle a team leadership roll. I can see why Saban picked up Culpepper, but Saban failed to realize he sucks.“I don't look ahead... I keep focused on my next opponent. ya i think alot of peeps missed out on BreesOriginally posted by HeHateMe View PostDrew Brees was the one they should've taken.
In all fairness to Pepp, he was coming back from a devestating injury. If he sucks again this upcoming year, he'll be out of the league within three years.

Yea, but no one knew. The dude was coming back off shoulder surgery. How many people would have been willing to say "OK, he just got off shoulder surgery. Let's give him a starter job!" Obviously, it panned out. But then again, young coach, nothing to lose......Originally posted by 6p6 View Postya i think alot of peeps missed out on Brees“I don't look ahead...
