  • What would you do?

I love football, but tickets to the Denver Broncos (the closest stadium to me) are always sold out waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before the season starts. Season tickets are on a long waiting list. So, here's my question: would you buy from one of the ticket resellers online that triple or even quadriple the damn prices or would you go to the stadium and try to bargain with a scalper?

Defineately a scalper at the stadium. The closer you get to game time the more desperate they get and you can usually get some decent seats for cheap. Buy upper levels just to make sure you get tickets, then when it gets close to game time you can up grade with another scalper for next to nothing most times.

I live in Denver and I say scalpers.

You're still going to pay more than face (which is technically illegal in the City and County of Denver), but it'll be cheaper than a ticket broker. I actually had some playoff tickets that I was lucky enough to get last year.

Also, check www.denverpost.com and www.rockymountainnews.com in the classified sections for game tickets. Every once in a while you'll get lucky and catch a deal. The only other places I know of are Ebay and stubhub.com for tickets.

        Are you a Bronco fan?

also, if you wait for 10-15 minutes after the game starts the scalpers come way down in price. Kinda sucks to come all the way down to Denver and not have guaranteed tickets...

Yup Yup. Reps for Scalley. I've seen many a good Eagles game 15 minutes after it starts from scalpers. If face is $55, you can get them for maybe $40 after game time.

Actually, I'm a Falcons fan but I have nothing against Denver. I will pull for them against anyone except ATL. Of course, when they lose I don't care either. It's more of a love of the game than anything and the fact they don't compete in ATL's conference.

I actually live in Colorado Springs.

Ok, thanks guys. This year I'm going to hit some games and just hunt down the scalpers. The thing is I got spoiled because the only game I've been to in that stadium was their very first regulary season game in that stadium. It was the night McCaffery broke his leg and they beat the Giants. The next day was 9/11/2001. Anyways, the tickets came from a lawyer buddy of mine who had togo out of town and they were about 12 rows off the field at the 30 yard line. You just can't go back and sit in the those bleeds after that.
