    Sounds like a nice car.

    351C is it 2V or 4V version? Mach1 is probably 4v engine.
Nice car! Only problem with the 71-73's is that they started to get a little large and heavy.

Your mods sound good. Are you going to swap out the distributator for an electronic one when you do the MSD swap? Maybe look into a product made by a company called "pertronix". They make a unit that you can drop into your points-style dist to convert it to electronic. I paid $60US for mine about 2 years ago.

Yeah i am going with MSD's shorty distributor and their 6al ignition system. It has a 2v on it for some reason its an edlebrock intake. When i have the engine rebuilt i am going to see if we can change that. It is a bigg mofo but thats what most people like about it, it looks like a muscle car. I saw pertonix they have the flamethrower HEI but since i am kinda doing a red color scheme i am going with msd and when you pop open a hood see and msd system well you just know there is alot more behind it, kinda name reconition. If it woudl stop raining out here and clear up i would takes some nice pics and post... I thought it wasn't suppose to rain in SoCal...

Favorite muscle car? That's hard to say. My father owns a Classic Corvette & Muscle car store, so i see them all the time. drive them from time to time too. but as far as the muscle cars go, i'd have to say 70 chevelle ss 454/450hp. the true grit muscle car.

Well, that depends on your definition.

Some of the newer stangs and camaro's yes..

But in the 60's and 70's the Mustang and the Camaro were the epitomey of muscle cars.

muslce cars were alawys seen as boats with 4 seats for the family, and a huge engine under the hood. mustang was designed to tap into the sports car market (corvette) yet still get the muscle car market. so camaro came out to make sure that market stayed within GM lines. mopar never really bothered, and stuck to the true muscle car market. GTO was the first muscle car, and i use that as my basis for comparision. i just see fbodies and mustangs as "baby" sports cars

1968 hurst/olds... gm wouldnt let them call it an olds cause it didnt fall into their 1hp/10lb of the cars weight policy. RATED at 390hp, but had WAY more. ran 12.87 1/4 mile stock with those little factory tires. not bad!
