what do u guys think of the golf? other than having ridiculously expensive parts, any cons? i can get one cheap (98) and the insurance wouldn't be too much either... i'm working only part time so i can't afford nothing too fancy now...

I had a Jetta and it was expensive as hell to fix. I remember a hose cost $300 + labor. I'd reconsider VWs if I were you. JMHO.

I think they are good cars..they get great gas milage. But yeah, repair costs are big.. especially when your buying a used car.RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.
