    If it's anything like the girlfriend's 02 YJ, it'll be a pain.

Maybe check with a local detailer, they usually have some pretty good stuff.

            Pudge,

Dishsoap is also a harsh cleaner for a car and material. It may be part of your problem. Consider switching to a cleaner ment for washing your vehicle/top. :p

                Pudgy..

Find a detail shop that has a steam cleaner. Make sure they are a competant one and that they've don this before. Those steam cleaners get very, very hot! They can clean the whole top and re-apply Scotchguard like the factory did! My dad does this for a living so I know the process!

I own a jeep cherokee and bought one of these scrub brushes with a long handle from costco and it works really well.

When i had my 87 wrangler ann. edition i had several tops for it. I tried everything under the sun, nothing worked except the steam cleaning process.

when i bought my 90 5.0 gt conv. Mustang (blk/blk) i went to the same shop and they fuckin ruined my top. Of course they replaced it free of charge with a few extra goodies.

why it worked on one and not the other i have know idea.....leankid????

Not sure Nate, Jeeps, and Mustangs alike have canvas tops on them.

How did they mess it up bruva??

clean it with laundry detergent, first.
Then use the special soap, and let it on for a short time then use a high powered hose to clean it.
