  • So I welded up the front axle in my truck yesterday.

    Yup, redneck posi.

Already welded up the rear axle last year.

I'm not so sure it was a good idea While in 4wd with both hubs locked, my truck doesn't turn worth crap. Gonna need an airport runway to pull a 180

Hopefully the mud and lack of traction will help a little in the mudpits or I'm gonna have a hell of a time turning the truck around for the reverse pass.

Even with RWD locked (welded gears) cars push like a mother, watch out for rain.

Yeah. Well, the truck is a beast to drive.. so I'm usually taking it pretty easy when on the street.

The worst part is the tire wear.. it almost brings a tear to my eye when making a sharp turn and hearing those $350 a piece tires howling...

Local junkyards only want $50 for a whole new carrier.

All the lockers I've seen go for $500+

Nah, want the locker.. POSI is useless when doing rock crawling cause you don't get the tire speed needed.

Currently working on a deal for a whole spare front axle.. 4.56's and a locker!
