Twisted_ Maniac, so happy to meet you. I can't soup up my son's car yet, he just crashed one of my Town Cars. My car however is a 93, 5.0 and when I bought her the guy says he used to race her, he had NOS. I have a tuning problem, Cruises fine at 25 but when I hit it there is a huge lag and a backfire. I do remember that the guy told me to drive her in 2nd if I was driving under 45mph. Which is almost always here in Vegas. When we got her we took off the small pulleys and put in a bigger radiator so I could drive every day. I would be so happy for some help. We don't want to drive her every day and would like to get her in shape for very fast cruises.

There most likely is a program in the computer bumping up the timing,fuel,etc.If he had nos the right way it has bigger psi fuel pressure.Best is to look at the computer it could be a removable chip in the board.If he says to take off in 2nd gear probably has like a 4:56 gear ratio.Hopefully he didn't have the computer reprogrammed because than it'll need to be programmed again.Start there at the computer is best.If not let me know I can troubleshoot in pm.

Yeah 683ci motor,1000hp Nos and added twin turbos 80mm pc pushing 22#s boost.

Also it has a racing transmission and rear end. I may have to manually shift it if I want it to work right?

Yeah I have the same trans in both my Mustangs.I put the reverse shifter in mine,easier to race.It's where you you pull all the way back for first gear bump forward for 2nd and again for third where it locks.

Good very reliable and don't have to worry about accidentally hitting neutral lol...
