    Many schools now are more concerned with preparing kids for scholastic aptitude tests than actually teaching them any real world skills. If a school gets poor scores, they lose funding, so many schools become obsessed with test scores. Unfortunately ,Standardized tests are an invalid indicator of a kids skills or talents. Those tests are a waste of time and money.

      School tends to stress kids out with these tests. I tell our daughter not to worry about those tests as they are not a reflection of her personal abilities at all. Prep for the real world should essential come from one's parents and to many send their kids to school thinking it is the schools job to raise their kids. School does have a part in it but to me, it starts in the home
