The lighting makes my beard look strange...next one will be taken in better lighting, it is quite a bit darker than it looks there.

no no, dapper is a def positive adjective. Si from Duck Dynasty is one of the most dapper looking bearded creatures ever. you're in good company =)

I would look a lot more dapper if I trimmed the beard and shaved the neck - but with the contest almost over I can do that very soon. Given another month, I would grow a full on Jewish Beard - which many confuse with an Islamic Beard.
Interesting story - I was sitting on the bus, studying Hebrew (reading it in Hebrew, then verifying the pronunciation using a transliteration below the Hebrew, then verifying I knew what I was reading with the English underneath that) when some women behind me on the bus asked what language I was reading. I told them Hebrew and the woman who asked looked visibly relieved. She told her friend "I am glad it is Hebrew and not Arabic - Jews do not blow up busses," I had to laugh to myself, but also realized she is right. When was the last time I Jew blew up a bus full of regular everyday people - men, women, children?

Anyway, onto the pic of my beard!
