Moms have a hard time letting go of the sons. But really it doesn't matter how old you are....it is your moms house and if she is not comfortable with you and your girlfriend spending the night in the same room together....thats her right......just my 2 cents.

But I do agree the rude comments should go, maybe she doesn't realize how bad they are.

didn't this discussion happen a few weeks back? If you don't get along with who you are living with then move out! And never disrespect your mother. When you are 35 and have lived through some of the things she has gone through (like all adults do) then you can make a decision about what type of person your Mom is. I didn't get along with my parents until after I moved out on my own. Now they are the best! Make a conscious effort to show her respect - put yourself in the frame of mind that anything she does for you is done out of her own goodwill because she wants to do it. Tell her thanks anytime she does any of your laundry etc. As far as you and your girlfriend - I was living with my girlfriend (who turned out to be my wife eventually) for over 4 years before my parents were comfortable with us sleeping in the same bed while in their house - and I always respected that and dealt with it - when it is your house you can do what you want - when it is someone else's house you do what they want. This will all look much different to you in 10 years - guarenteed.
