My GF dog has kidney failure. We have haulted the progression through a low protein diet. She ordered some EPO through Rite Aid drug store to aid in RBC production. It seems the kidneys signal the bone marrow to make RBC, since her kidneys are comprimised there is no signal. I did not know this, but find it interesting. Now my question is would the addition of injectable B12 help?
