most teachers are very far left liberals and do everything they can to make everyone feel sorry for them and they indoctrinate students...in wisconsin gov scott walker made public unions, mostly teachers start paying more than the 1% to their health insurance and retirement so they were more in line with private union...teachers here hate him...honestly though working 9 months, and 6 classes a day with work hours in between, work days "conventions" (which is stupid trying to reinvent the teaching wheel...get back to drilling and basics...), and they can always pick up part time work in summers...they're not overworked but they act like money is more important than the career THEY CHOSE...knowing they weren't gonna make alot (most start around 25k but tenured teachers in my area are making 60-70k for those 9 months plus barely having to pay anything toward benefits (cadillac benefit plans...that's why states are broke)...THank GOd FOR SCOTT WALKER!!! moving wisconsin forward!!!
