      Re: Acid reflux

I know you probably want an easy fix but you NEED to go see a gastro specialist. You need your upper track checked for hernias. Usually with chronic acid reflux you have a haitial hernia. You need to keep that in check as it can lead to esophagus cancer, holes in your system, etc.

Also nexium just came out with an OTC. It is same thing as the prescribed version just in a 20 mg dose instead of 40mg. If you need nexium and like many your insurance balks at the $ then look at other countries pharm sites. I get mine from Mexico 40mg 120caps for $37! Other countries don't have to honor our lame ass big pharm rules, regs, and patents so you can find generics of the active ingredient.

Great advice here and yes, if you havent seen a gastro doc, a def must. I have had all the test and then some and still no diagnosis to why I get reflux. At least if you have some trsting though, things can be ruled out.
