Liberal groups angry with SC pols over order to teach Constitution
The South Carolina legislature has rankled liberal groups after requiring that a pair of public schools use state funds to teach the U.S. Constitution and other founding documents -- on the heels of a budget fight over gay-themed books in the curriculum.

this place is going to hell... you would think that the constitution would be standard need to know.. I was taught it didn't pay much attention to it then lol but its part of the inner fabric of our country... well atleast thats what I thought.
Re: Liberal groups angry with SC pols over order to teach Constitution
Unfortunately when public schools take taxpayer dollars they set themselves up for the government dictating their curriculum. The best way around that- for parents and students alike- is to go to private school/college. I know I gained a well-rounded education from my private college compared to my counterparts going to public college. They teach things like Bible studies, government courses (that include learning about our founding documents), and they don't hike tuition every year bc of lack of federal/state funding.
