  • dropping your phone

watched a gal drop her iphone yesterday in the lobby of my work. it hit the marble and the screen was no longer a shiny flat piece of glass, it shattered.

she was beside herself she was so upset. she sat there in the lobby holding her phone like it was a dying loved one and cried. she went to HR and asked if we had insurance that would get her a new phone. (they looked at her like she was on "the dope")

why didn't she have a protective cover? they are cheap as hell. a cover is the first thing we buy when we get a phone.

anybody ever broken their expensive smart phone? what kind of cover do you have?

    Re: dropping your phone

Never broke a phone by dropping it. Have broken several otter boxes though. Them otters are tough as hell.
Did smash a phone with a golf club once. Made a bad shot and took it out on my golf bag. Phone just happened to be in my bag.

I have an iphone 5 and I used an Otter Box and now I just put on Ghost Armor as well...I love that stuff!

I like how you described it as holding it like a dying loved one lol..great imagery there!

                  Re: dropping your phone

I have always used a cheap $2.99 silicon cover for me and my wife's phones. my wife is a bit clumsy and drops hers on the hardwood frequently and never had a problem. it's just a matter of time before one hits the ground, sure pays to have some protection on it.

Im brutal on phones and bluetooth headsets. I go thru plantronics headsets like underwear. I smash them, sit on them, step on them etc etc...
I have had bluetooths that I taped together with electrical tape until the new one arrived...this time I ordered a cheap one just to see if its tougher and can take a beating
