Re: METEOR SHOWERS START TONIGHT
i read about this a week ago glad you reminded me. reminds me of a book i read in high school, "day of the triffids" it's an old 60 sci/ fi horror book. actually a great read about a meteor shower that blinds most people and these genetically altered plants that turn carnivorous.
anyway i will chance it and watch

Perseids Meteor Shower Peaks On Monday August 12 2013 | PlanetSave
The best time to watch will be sometime in the early morning — ideally sometime around 2-4 AM, that’s probably the best bet. The meteors will appear to be originating out of the constellation of Perseus — which is located in the Northeastern portion of the night sky, as seen from the Northern Hemisphere during the month of August

Re: METEOR SHOWERS START TONIGHT
I was up at 12:00 and then 3:00 am went out on the deck looked in all the skies and saw plenty
of stars. None of them were shooting in any direction.
The news said there should be about 60 hour. So one a minute. When I'm up multi times tonight ill have another look.
All my outside cats were real confused as to what I was doing,
