  • quitting the gym

I am no longer going to be going to the fitness centers in my town. I've been kicked out of one and asked to leave until I calm down from the other. I have just purchased a squat rack which is the last thing I needed. I am so tired of seeing girls in short shorts and make up done. Guys in short shorts with their hair done. Personal trainers giving terrible advice. People look at me like I'm a lepper during my dead lifts. They complain when I squat. What pushed me
Over the edge was. This woman was working with her friend. This little skronny personal trainer comes walking up and grabs the band from the woman and throws it over the top of the machine and tells her this is how its done. I said hey homo her arms are bigger then yours why the **** would she listen to you. Its true the guy is tiny. Why would anyone want to listen to him. I don't want to go backwards. I pay as much as everyone else. I have to watch people do half squats half bench. I see this fat girl who has gained weight every morning **** off with a personal trainer giggling and not doing shit in her extra tight yoga pants. She doesn't burn a hundred calories. Then they set any the smoothie bar drinking a shake that's 200 calories. The general manager trys to blow smoke up my ass. He says he don't care what I do but has to say something because he gets complaints. The truth is. I'm big I have tattoos I don't socialize with the people I lift heavy weight I workout with intensity. And yes if someone is curling in the squat rack I will remove the weight for them. I don't give two ****s how much weight you are curling. If you can't dead lift it off the floor you have no business curling it. I got some friends to help out and donate some weights. And some guys to train with. So **** all these fitness centers.
Squats make the world go round.

Brother man, none of this will ever stop. There will always always always be fitness idiots. My theory is you can save them all so why start unless they ask you.

Every time I break this rule I regret it. I saw these guys spotting a cable row in a fashion that could quickly lose a finger. Mentioned it to them respectfully and showed them a better way. Those idiots argued about it the rest of my workout.

Bro I can see me being pushed to this. I try to stay calm. But when I have my ear buds in I'm squatting and making very little noise and someone interrupts my workout to say be quite. It does fire me up.

                        Re: quitting the gym

The most frustrating part is the physical trainers/clients. They took their workouts from a damn magazine, and give you dirty looks for running a decent ****ing program. Deadlifts are the devil now in commercial gyms.
I'd go to planet fitness, but I'd hate to set off the Lunk Alarm.

                          Re: quitting the gym

When I use to power lift at the gym women all shapes and sizes would come up to me ( especially those hootchie looking women who wore short shorts and sports bras , they might as well have gone naked ) and ask me if the reason I wore baggy clothes was if I was hiding a masculine body. That would always piss me off because they would see me max out on weights. SOMETIMES just to prove a point I would take of my shirt and showed them how I looked in my sports bra . Needless to say it would shut them up and they would be shocked that I didn't have a mans body. Ever so often I would have a guy ask me that, but I wouldn't take of my shirt for them lol.

The funniest part was having some guys look @ me and then try to lift harder and heavier then me. At my gym I use to work out with the owner and the other power lifting guys. I could hold my own and I was the only female there doing it. So whenever I would switch machines and the guys would go after me trying to add as much weight as I did and watching them fail was hilarious. I'd just shake my head, laugh, and keep on training.

I hate it when I'm *****ed out when I'm showing someone the proper way to do something. Normally I am a nice guy but when people at the gym get in my face about silly crap I tend to do a slow burn...then BOOM!
