    Car rental deals ?

    Hey All,

    Anyone have any tricks for finding great car rental deals for vacations? I dont travel much. But when I do I shit bricks each time I see some of these rental fees.

    I know the golden rule to NEVER pick up the rental companies insurance. We have to remember our own coverage we have on our personnel cars always has a rider in there to cover any other car we might drive.

    I'm just a mid size car kinda of guy. Not looking for fancy high end cars by any means.

    Figure we could all share what we might know to help find discounts on car rentals.

    Hey Brother,

    I just did this like a few days ago. I called my insurance company and asked if I was covered if I rented a car. They checked my coverage and I was completely covered. They even had discounts with all the major car rental places which was damn cool. Saved me close to $50 for a weeks rental with unlimited milage.

    Also, if I choose to upgrade at the desk they will have the discount code in my file and and I can still save.

      I wonder how many guys rent nice sport cars on the weekends to just to luck cool and try to pick up women

          Most places will price match or discount there cars with military and or a cdl license!
          Using current insurance saves 15+ per day.
          I use to use the dealers at the airport but found there a lil more pricey and inventory depending where u live
          and time of year isn't that lg!

              Yeah, I learned this 20 years ago. I try to tell everyone I know NEVER take the rental co ins. Had a buddy who knows better do it just last year.

              I'll give price line a try.

                i search deals on orbitz. when i find a suitable deal i look for discount codes from the company (hertz, enterprise ect) orbitz will allow you to stack the discount on their price so you may save 15% with orbitz and another 15-25% with the discount code.

                takes work but i am a cheap ass mofo. 45 minutes of research and save $75.............that is OK with me

                  went through Costco and priceline before both were great. always rent the Cadillac's .. love those cars just wont ever own one again..
