I'm having the same issues. I want to put an avatar into play, but everytime I find the "perfect" avatar, I don't know how to shrink it down.

If someone would please explain, step by step. For example, I find the picture on the internet. Do I save the picture to my hard drive. Then regarding reformatting, what program do I use, etc, etc???

Help is appreciated to us avatar illiterate fools.

It's best to use something like Adobe Photoshop so you can resize it and optimize it. Lots of people have it or something similiar. You could use Paint if you're using a Windows OS. It's crap but if that's all you got and you want to do it yourself...

You need some image editor..I think..Photoshop..or Paint Shop Pro..
